Player Software

If you have a Windows or Macintosh computer with sound card, speakers and Internet connection, it costs no more to tune in the world. An Internet connection speed as slow as 28.8 kilobits per second will work, but 56.6 kbps or faster is better. Player software allows the computer to interpret the data stream as it receives a radio station on the Internet.
